I love dentistry and I have great passion for what I do. Taking exceptional care of my patients is a top priority in my life and I am always working to increase my knowledge. Keep reading to learn more about me!
Even as a child I wanted to become a dentist. Through the encouragement of my childhood dentist and my parents, I became driven to succeed in both college and dental school. Coming from a family of mechanical engineers, my parents noticed early signs of my mechanical skills. Frequently I would disassemble and reassemble common household items just to see how they functioned. My father would often have me assist his engineering projects and would challenge me to find solutions to problems.
I received a Bachelors of Science from Butler University with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. While studying at Butler, I was active in Student Government and the Dental Society. In 2011, I graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry where I was an executive member of the dental fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta.
Immediately after graduation, I began practicing in Bowling Green, Kentucky. While practicing in Kentucky, I treated Medicaid patients with diverse and complicated clinical need. Those experience taught me how to treat patients of all ages efficiently and comfortably.
In 2012, I moved back to the Chicagoland area to continue learning from my mentor Dr. Chris Thomas in Oak Park. Shortly thereafter, I began to practice downtown in The Loop at the 25 E Washington building.
I take great pride in educating my patients. My treatment methodology for patients is to provide them with the most comfortable and least invasive techniques. I ensure patients understands each procedure and allow them time to ask any questions them may have. I have found this to be a great asset in my clinical decision making. I have taken a variety of courses related to Invisalign orthodontics and treating patients with obstructive sleep apnea using oral appliance therapy. I am highly involved in continuing my education in all aspects of restorative dentistry. I am an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
I have a strong interest in using the highest quality restorative materials and most artistic dental laboratories to achieve the best, most esthetic clinical results. With my warm and welcoming chair-side manners, I hope patients can find a new dental home where they are treated with respect, never rushed into unnecessary treatment, and feel comfortable bringing their family and friends.
